About Shirley Hills
Thanks so much for dropping by to check us out. We hope you will find enough information here to help you understand our identity, our mission, and our desire to be a community of grace that brings glory to God in Warner Robins and around the world.
We offer ministries for every age and life-stage from preschool to senior adults, and would love to have you be part of the exciting work that God is doing in and through our church. To give you a little more insight, here are the answers to a few questions you might have.
What times are your services and discipleship groups?
We offer two Sunday services each week at 9 & 10:30 a.m. The first service is more traditional in format, offering hymns with an occasional blend of newer songs for worship. The second service reflects more of a modern or contemporary worship format. We have small group classes (traditionally called Sunday School) that meet simultaneously with our service hours. We also have small groups that meet in homes on Sunday evenings or other nights of the week, should that be your preference. We would love to have you visit our service and give us the opportunity to get you connected to a small group that meets your needs.
We also have Wednesday night services, Bible studies, and activities for everyone.
Where are you located?
You can find us in the heart of Warner Robins at 615 Corder Road, between Watson Blvd and Russell Pkwy.
What do you believe? What is your mission?
Although "church" has changed in a lot of ways since we opened our doors in 1963, we believe our mission as a church remains the same. We would say our mission is simply to "love God, love each other, and love our community as fully committed followers of Jesus Christ."
That mission flows directly out of our beliefs. SHBC is a Southern Baptist Church, and our beliefs are consistent with the Baptist Faith and Message.
What should I wear?
We encourage our members and guests to wear whatever makes them comfortable to fully worship Christ, knowing that "man looks at the outward appearance but God looks at the heart." Modesty is a Biblical value, and we desire not to distract or draw attention to ourselves since worship is about God alone. At SHBC, you will see us in everything from suits to t-shirts and shorts, and you are welcome as you are.
